Teri is a certified Instructor in Awareness, Operation, and Technician Level Ice Rescue Training. 

Teri is a certified Trainer in Basic River Rescue, Basic Water with and without Boat Operations, and Swift water/Flood Rescue Technician Instructor.  Teri is also certified as a Personal Watercraft Rescue Technician by the Fire and Rescue Training Institute at the University of Missouri-Columbia

Mark Hoskin – Owner/Instructor of Michigan Rescue Concepts since 1998. 

32 years Firefighter/Paramedic at Harrison Township Fire Department 

Retired Battalion Chief from Harrison Twp Fire Dept.  

Currently a Fire Chief in Ray Twp. MI 

Mark is a certified Instructor in Awareness, Operation, and Technician Level Ice Rescue Training.  Mark is a certified Trainer in Basic River Rescue, Basic Water with and without Boat Operations, and is a Swift water/Flood Rescue Technician. 

Mark is a Public Safety Diver, HazMat Technician, Trench Ops, State of Michigan Fire Instructor, and NFPA Fire Inspector I.  He has been involved in Water and Ice Rescue over the 27 years of his career 

Mark has an Associate Degree in Fire Science, and Graduate of Leadership Studies. 

He has participated in UASI Region 2 planning and RAFT Extrication Committees.

Marc is a Retired Lt/Paramedic from Harrison Township Fire Department after 28 years of service.

Marc is a certified Rescue Diver and a Michigan Fire Training Instructor as well as a certified

 100 ton boat Captain!

Michael Brandt has been an Instructor for Michigan Rescue Concepts, LLC for the past 20 years.

Mike is a certified Instructor for Awareness, Operation and Technician Level Ice Rescue Training.  Michael is a certified Instructor for Basic River Rescue, Basic Water with and without Boat Operations. Mike is also a Swiftwater/Flood Rescue Technician.

Michael has been a Firefighter since 1983.  USAF FF from 1983 – 1991

Wyandotte Firefighter from 1991 – 2022.  Michael has recently retired from Wyandotte Fire Department as a Senior Captain/Paramedic Instructor and is currently employed at the Wayne County Community College Fire Academy. Michael has an Associate Degree in Fire Science

Mike is a Lifeguard Instructor from 1980 – 2015.  Mike is a team leader of the DRMA dive team,

He is married to his beautiful wife Stephanie.

Donald Middleton has been an instructor for Michigan Rescue Concepts, LLC since 2021

Donald is a certified Instructor in Awareness, Operation and Technician Level Ice Rescue Training. Donald is also a certified trainer in Basic Water Rescue, Basic Open Water Rescue with and without Boat Operations. Donald is also a certified Swiftwater/Flood Rescue Technician.
Don is one of our lead instructors in High Angle Rope Technician Training!

Don is the Fire Chief for Essexville Fire Department
He is a Sergeant/EMT for Bangor Township Fire Department since 1978.
Among his credentials are:
Fire Officer I, II, III and Instructor I. He has an Associate Degree in Fire Science. He is an instructor for Arenac and Bay County Fire Academies. Don is the Team Leader for the Bay County Technical Rescue Team. He is a member of the MI Region 3 Task Force. He is the President of Bay County Firefighter’s Association. He is a Member of Bay County Honor Guard. He is a Sergeant for Bay County Sheriff Dept. Marine Division. He is member of the Bay County Dive Team. He is an Eagle Scout and Water Ski Instructor.
Don has been married to his lovely wife, Denise since 1980. They have 8 grown children and he and his wife have fostered over 285 children.

Jeremy Verbeke

Jeremy Verbeke has been working with Michigan Rescue Concept LLC since 2017.

Jeremy currently serves as Lieutenant Medic with the

 Shelby Township Fire Department in Southeast Michigan.  He has been in and around water most of his life.  First started with recreational scuba diver in 1987, then joined a public safety dive team in 1991. In 2003 he became the Dive Rescue Team Coordinator for Shelby Township Fire Department. 2011, he facilitated the creation, organization and deployment of the STFD Dive team to expand into surface and Swiftwater rescue.  He has training with a multitude of different Swiftwater organizations to learn and employ as many water rescue techniques from different experiences. 

Outside of “work”, Jeremy is the Patrol Director of a Mountain Bike Patrol and enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, camping, and hiking.

Kurt MacFarlane

Kurt MacFarlane is one of our Lead Instructors in High Angle Rope Rescue Technician Training

Kurt is a Captain at the Port Huron Fire Department. He is also a MFFTC Fire Instructor from 2007 to Present. He has served more than 32 years in the Fire/EMS Service. Kurt is the Technical Rescue Manager for the City of Port Huron, MI.

Kurt holds certificates in Rope Rescue III, Structural Tower Rescue Technician, Confined Space Technician, Trench Rescue Technician, Collapse Rescue Operations, Hazmat Technician, Hazmat ICS, Fire Officer III, NIMS 200-800, Rescue Diver, Swiftwater Rescue Technician.

Kurt has an Associate Degree in Fire Science and Plastics Engineering.
